The growth in popularity of retractable awnings is amazing in Canada. More and more, the flexibility offered by retractable awnings is appealing to a wide variety of people: house, condo and apartment owners and tenants, as well as, restaurants, businesses and many other types of industries.

Retractable awnings are simply the greatest solution when you want to choose between sunlight and shade. Moreover, they don’t need any kind of vertical support or legs. A real advantage is that retractable awnings require minimal maintenance. In the summer, it is recommend that you hose down the top of the canvas regularly to keep it clean. In the winter (once dry), just roll the awning back and you’re done!

Our retractable awnings are made with the highest quality European frames and they are assembled in Quebec. Essentially, they are composed of a roll in the back where the canvas is wound up, a front bar that holds the canvas evenly and arms creating tension between those two structural components. All our retractable awnings structures are made of aluminum and the assembly nuts and bolts are made of stainless steel. The roll-up mechanism works with gears and requires no maintenance. The mechanism is available in three models: mechanical (manual), motorized or hybrid.

The addition of motorization to retractable awnings is relatively simple. The motor is inserted in the tube where the fabric rolls on and it can be connected to a standard power outlet. You can choose between a remote control or a wall switch. Other accessories for retractable awnings are available, such as wind sensors, sun sensors, 3D movement sensors, etc.

Canvas for our retractable awnings are available in a wide range of colors and patterns. They all come from Europe. They are resistant to: water, mildew, stains and U.V. rays at 100%. They last many years.

Retractable awnings offer an excellent protection against the sun, heat, light rain and U.V. rays. They allow you to create an oasis on request!  However, one must never forget that retractable awnings are not built for heavy winds (up to 35 km/h) or heavy rains. It is important to note that we advise against keeping retractable awnings open while you’re away.
